The Skinny Limbs - Persistence

Persistence is an adventurous tune off of The Skinny Limbs' new EP titled "Jade". This marriage of guitar and synth-filled our summer of 2020 as we were unsure of how the world would adjust to the COVID 19 pandemic. The script was written by TSL themselves, we collaborated on finding a consistent styling and comedic, yet adventurous emotion to the video.

The visuals for this upbeat ear tickler is an old man searching for lost times of his childhood. He longs to relive the days spent fooling around and enjoying life with his friends. Throughout the video we see him go on a journey to get back to the location of this joyous memory that plays out in tandem.

Inspired by the colors, props, and quirky emotions of a Wes Anderson film, we chose to shoot, edit, and color grade a certain way to achieve a happy, warm look that would contrast with the cooler, muted tones of the older man's storyline.

All in all, everyone was very happy with the end result. This has set new standard for the level of production value for the all of The Skinny Limbs music videos going forward.
