The Forager
The Forager came to Troy Spoelma of Verken to play around with the idea of a new simplified logo and wordmark for their new approach in 2020. The Forager is a traditional American food restaurant that focuses on using high-quality ingredients mixed with historic architecture to cultivate a genuine dining experience.
The goal of the rebrand was spurred on by the move to more digital marketing and seeing how the old logo didn't hold up when shrunk to very small sizes. We wanted to breathe new life into an already solid brand.
Paying homage to the many years that the restaurant had used the illustrated man for the logo and the story that stood behind it, we simplified the logo mark keeping the same structure and imagery. We replaced the characterless serif wordmark with a fresh new scripted typeface that was express-full, classy, and classic just like the food on the menu.
