Verken, in collaboration with Studio_Us, was tasked with using the new branding to create digital ads promoting a series of holiday promotions. We created numerous different explorations and animatics to find the final style. With a combination of typography, photography, and sound, we designed a series of cohesive animated and stationary ads spanning across a variety of different mediums and formats.

Since the original Harmon Brothers commercials with Goldie Locks and the Tim and Eric sketches, Purple has been transitioning away from humor and more towards a toned-down comfort lifestyle look. With the help of Man Vs. Machine, they created some beautiful surrealist 3D renders, but still decided that it was too far out of the box. Our role was to take old and new assets and make something that was in between these two extremes. Something that was more human and product focused.

Once the final direction was approved, we blew out the ads to a variety of social platforms, multiple web formats and dimensions, and even included them into email campaigns. The explorations and rounds of designs helped Purple narrow their vision on the visual style for all upcoming digital ad content.
